Unfortunately, the stand of WHO is quite negative. They basically have come out with their own sort of documents to say that they do not believe that the science is convincing enough that these products can actually help people quit smoking or are less harmful than cigarettes.

This is disappointing for me as a former director at WHO, but I am optimistic and hoping in future that they will change their position because the WHO position is absolutely crucial as countries, especially the developing countries look very much to what is the WHO position on issues related to health.
